Daniel Hesse is the first doctoral student at a university of applied sciences in Saxony-Anhalt.
The dissertation was assessed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Wiese (member of the PhD Centre Environment and Technology) and two external experts: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Oscar Link, Universidad Concepción (Chile) and Prof. Dr. Brigitte Urban, Leuphana University Lüneburg. The overall result for the dissertation: magna cum laude (very good). The successful oral examination (disputation) of the dissertation followed in October 2022. The overall result of the dissertation and disputation is also: magna cum laude.
A dissertation must be published within one year of passing the disputation. Only then is the doctoral degree awarded. The doctoral committee approved the final dissertation thesis for publication in February 2023. At the end of March, the thesis was published on the open access and research data repository of the university libraries in Saxony-Anhalt.
