Conference: Education for Sustainable Development in Daycare Centers

Nov. 14, 2025 from 9:30 a.m.3:30 p.m.
Registration closed

The topic of education for sustainable development (ESD) has become and continues to be an increasingly important area of education in shaping everyday life in daycare centres with children, families and the social environment. The importance of ESD is currently being highlighted by the continuation of the education programme ‘Education: elementary – education from the very beginning’, in which ESD is listed as an independent area of education for the first time.

The conference offers the opportunity to engage with knowledge about the importance of ESD in daycare centres, the many sustainability issues that arise in daycare centres, and the role of specialists and managers. Afterwards, participants will be able to reflect on their own actions in workshops on philosophising with children, sustainable annual planning and the connection between children's rights and ESD, and learn about specific materials for strengthening sustainable and responsible behaviour in daycare centres.

More information about the conference and registration details can be found in the conference flyer.

As places are limited, registration is requested. The event is free of charge.
