Nora Küster-Dammaschke becomes the new Chancellor of Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. On July 10, 2024, the university senate elected her by a large majority. Her term of office at the university begins on August 1, 2025.
The Chancellor is a member of the Executive Board and is responsible for the administration of the university. Her area of responsibility includes personnel, financial, property and legal matters. The Chancellor is the superior of the university's non-academic staff. There were 17 applications for the position, which has a limited term of office of eight years.
“I value the opportunities for shaping my future role and am looking forward to being able to contribute to the strategic positioning of the university,” says the future chancellor. “The topics of process optimization and digitalization, as well as equal opportunities and sustainability, are particularly important to me.”
