Katja Makoben works as a road design consultant at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Digital Affairs in Saxony-Anhalt. In this role, she reviews planning proposals for road construction projects in the state. What she particularly appreciates about her job is that it allows her to work strategically. Her job becomes a matter close to her heart whenever it involves the expansion of cycle paths. As a cyclist herself, she couldn't be happier with her career choice. She previously completed her bachelor's degree in water management and her master's degree in civil engineering (civil and transport engineering) at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences.
